Annie, thanks for stopping at our booth (Pearisburg Festival). I enjoyed speaking with you and hearing your commentary about important issues requiring attention of the General Assembly. You are a very engaging person, both politically and as one of us, and I certainly appreciate that quality.
As I have told you, I campaigned for Mr. Keister when you first ran against him and at that time I truly felt he was an experienced elected delegate and could therefore do more for his constituents than would a newcomer. I continue to count him among my friends but I'm pleased with your personal performance as our delegate. However, I feel the Republicans are generally playing the partisan political game instead of looking for bipartisan cooperation on issues extremely important to the citizens of Virginia. Transportaion is a good example of where partisanship should be set aside in favor of both parties working together to resolve gridlock on this issue.
Please do your part to advocate for bipartisan cooperation.
My best wishes,
Doug Turner
