
Anne B. Crockett-Stark was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November of 2005. She currently serves on the Counties, Cities and Towns, the Science and Techonlogy and the Health, Wealfare and Institutions committees. She also chairs a subcommitte for Counties, Cities and towns. She represents all of Bland and parts of Giles, Pulaski, Tazewell and Wythe Counties.
In 1978, she became the first woman ever elected to the Wytheville Town Council. After that she served on the Wythe County Board of Supervisors, becoming the first female Chairperson of the Board in 2003.
Delegate Crockett-Stark earned both a Bachelors of Science and Masters from Radford
University. She has also completed some doctoral work at Virginia Tech. Delegate Crockett-Stark
worked as an educator and guidance counselor in Wythe County for 32 years. She has worked with
students from kindergarten through the community college level.
Delegate Crockett-Stark has served on the Mount Rogers Regional Planning District,
Grayson/Wythe Regional Library and Mount Rogers Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse
Board. Delegate Crockett-Stark was a co-founder of the Chautauqua Festival and Wythe Arts
Council. She has been active in the Wythe Historical Society, Links Club, DAR, and Eastern Star.

Annie B. Crockett-Stark describes herself as a people person who enjoys her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loves meeting new people and learns new things from everyone she meets. "Annie B." taught school for thirty two years as a language arts teacher and as a guidance counselor. She retired in 2004.
